A yellow warning for thunder and lightining is in place in parts of England today - the Met Office warned there could be some damage to some buildongs and structures

The Met Office said 10-15mm of rain is expected to fall within in less than an hour, with the worst-affected areas potentially seeing a total of 30-40mm.

Forecasters are warning of possible disruption as thunderstorms hit parts of the country. Today (Saturday, June 7), a yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office. It is in place from 9am until 6pm.
