The Arizona Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals meet up in Omaha on Sunday with their NCAA Men’s College World Series hopes on the line in the first elimination game of the tournament. Both teams had high hopes coming into the Men’s College World Series, but found themselves on the losing end of a couple of tough battles.

The eight teams in Omaha have combined for 74 appearances in the College World Series and 16 national championships.

The Men’s College World Series begins on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb. Games will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN 2 and ABC so cord-cutting fans have plenty of streaming options to choose from to watch every contest. All games are also available to stream with a subscription to ESPN+.

MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - The Murray State University baseball team left for Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, June 11. The team flew out from Barkley Regional Airport around 3 p.m. The Racers are headed to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Men’s College World Series.

The CWS opens Friday with the Sun Belt Conference's Coastal Carolina (53-11) playing the Big 12's Arizona (44-19) in a rematch of the 2016 finals won by the Chanticleers. No. 8 national seed Oregon State (47-14-1), an independent until the Pac-12 ramps up again in 2026-27, meets the ACC's Louisville (40-22) in the second game.
