COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A school district removed former NFL star Le’Veon Bell's name from its football field after he was found liable in a civil lawsuit for $25 million in damages for rape and sexual assault involving a minor.

Le'Veon Bell played at Groveport Madison High School before playing at Michigan State and several teams in the NFL.

Groveport Madison Schools announced Friday that Le’Veon Bell Field at Cruiser Stadium will become just Cruiser Stadium, per WCMH in Columbus, two days after the former NFL running back was hit with a $25 million default judgement in a civil rape lawsuit filed by his cousin.
