Veteran defenseman Jeff Petry is looking forward to joining the two-time, reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers after signing a one-year deal with the team.

This was an injury-plagued, frustrating season for the Red Wings’ Jeff Petry. And at age 37, who knows what the free-agent market will be for the veteran defenseman.
