Tributes and memories of the longtime Pittsburgh Penguins broadcaster Mike Lange are pouring following the news of his death at the age of 76. Lange died on Wednesday and within minutes of the news breaking of his death, tributes and memories were being shared across social media.

Mario Lemieux called him a “Penguins legend” and said it was “his honor” to have him call “virtually every goal in my career."

The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the midst of a playoff race and will look to make the postseason coming out of the 4 Nations tournament. However, the organization has suffered a great loss off the ice. Longtime play-by-play voice Mike Lange has passed away at the age of 76, the team confirmed in a social media announcement.
