The legal battle over President Donald Trump’s move to end birthright citizenship is far from over despite the Republican administration’s major victory Friday limiting nationwide injunctions.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday issued a major decision scaling back the power of federal judges to block presidential policies nationwide, in what is considered a major win for the Trump administration’s efforts to end birthright citizenship for children born in the U.

Effective immediately, the Trump administration can begin planning for how it would implement an end to birthright citizenship.
