WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON (AP) — Emma Raducanu dominated her first career matchup against Naomi Osaka, winning the showdown at the D.C. Open on Thursday between past U.S. Open champions 6-4, 6-2.

Emma Raducanu reclaimed the British No 1 title with a powerful straight-sets win over four-time major winner Naomi Osaka at the Mubadala Citi DC Open.

Raducanu is also through to the semi-finals of the women’s doubles. The Briton and Elena Rybakina beat Giuliana Olmos and Aldila Sutjiadi 7-6, 6-4 to set up a last-four clash with second seeds Shuai Zhang and Taylor Townsend.
