Payne was one of three officers shot by a suspect during an ambush on Wednesday. One of the officers, Phillip Wagner, later died.

Lorain Police Officer Brent Payne, who was shot in Lorain while on a lunch break with fellow officers, was released from the hospital on Saturday.  According to the Lorain Police Department, 47-year-old Payne was discharged from Cleveland’s MetroHealth Medical Center.

LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Investigators say shooting suspect Michael Joseph Parker, 28, of North Lakeview Boulevard, in Lorain was found with multiple high-powered rifles, handguns and large amounts of an explosive called Tannerite.
