LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 28, 2025) — Today, on the second day of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Seattle Kraken added another five players to the organization. After selecting forward Jake O’Brien with the eighth overall pick in the first round, the Kraken finished the draft with two forwards and four defensemen.

After they used their first-round pick to take a forward for the fifth straight year, the Kraken ran off four straight defenseman selections on Day 2 of the NHL draft.

With the 68th overall pick in the third round of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Seattle Kraken have selected defenseman Will Reynolds from the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League.
