Hosam Saraya, an American-Syrian citizen from Oklahoma, appeared to be gunned down by Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government forces last week.

Saraya was an Oklahoman and member of the Druze community. Saraya was executed alongside his family in Syria.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Hosam Saraya, adding that the US was providing consular assistance to the family. She declined to provide further details.
