Serena is 19-12 all-time against Venus, including 11 wins in majors and a 7-2 mark in Grand Slam finals. There was a stretch from 2002-03 where the Williams sisters played each other in the championship round of five straight majors, including twice at Wimbledon.

Venus Williams, 45, is set to play fellow American Peyton Stearns on Tuesday in the Citi Open in Washington, D.C. – her first professional match in more than a year. Venus last match came in March 2024 when she lost in the first round of the Miami Open.

Venus Williams marked her return to the WTA Tour by teaming up with Washington native Hailey Baptiste and defeating Eugenie Bouchard of Canada and Clervie Ngounoue 6-3, 6-1, in a first-round doubles match at the Mubadala Citi D.
