A 20-year-old male Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) student has been arrested for public violence. It follows student protests at the CPUT Cape Town campus today over a lack of accommodation. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg says that Public Order Police were forced to take action following what he termed a "riotous situation".
