✨ Ukrainian folk culture is well-preserved in the traditions of celebrating Malanka. On 13-14 January, the streets get flooded with performers, dressed in colourful costumes and masks. They stroll from house to house, singing ritual songs called Shchedrivka and wishing hosts all the best in the new year. Despite the Malanka traditions was almost lost during Soviet times, they started reviving after the restoration of Ukrainian independence. 🤗 Enjoy the celebration of Malanka — watch the video.
