It’s feeding time for our zebra sharks! Our tarpon (who fun fact, is original to the Scott Aquarium) and Queensland grouper even swung on by for a bite to eat, too. Our five zebra sharks (two males and three females) are fed three days a week. Our aquarists make sure they have variety in their diet. On the menu here is bonito, a fish similar to tuna. Ever wonder where zebra sharks come from? Through candling, we monitor zebra shark eggs by holding them over a light to see embryo development and assess how far along they are. Pretty amazing to see them moving around while they're still so young. #SharkWeek | Shedd Aquarium
