Repairing a worn lathe spindle using my Castolin Eutectic Terodyn 2000 flame spray equipment with ProXon 21022 powder. The worn & galled journal was undercut .020” then threaded. We’re using my Castolin Eutectic Terodyn thermal flame spray equipment to do a build up on this variable speed pulley that has a badly worn bearing journal. With the very thin wall on this journal you have to be very careful not to overheat the part. I make a couple passes and lift off then repeat. Having it mounted on a solid fixture helps to absorb the heat and transfer it more evenly. I love doing these types of repairs! 👊🏻 #abom79 #jobshop #industrialrepair #flamespray #thermalflamespray #
