A person has died after being hit by a train on the railway line in Leicestershire. Article continues below British Transport Police (BTP) said officers were called to the railway line in Leicester at 4.43am this morning (Thursday, January 15) to reports of a casualty on the tracks. BTP officers responded alongside paramedics, but in a statement confirmed that a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
