VIEWS on Instagram: "In a rare but catastrophic complication published in Interdisciplinary Neurosurgery, a 47‑year‑old woman who had undergone transsphenoidal surgery for a pituitary tumour suffered inadvertent intracranial placement of a nasogastric tube during postoperative enteral feeding; the tube passed through the skull base into the ventricular system, intracranial hemorrhage developed, and despite removal of the tube and subsequent neurosurgical care, the patient died eight days later.
