On September 13, 1982, Princess Grace of Monaco suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while driving from Roc Agel to Monte Carlo. Her Rover P6 plunged down a ravine near Cap-d’Ail, injuring daughter Princess Stéphanie. Grace was rushed to Monaco Hospital, where a second hemorrhage left her brain dead.
