In 1992 Guam was hit by Super Typhoon Omar. It was devastating to the island. Our ship was moored in preparation to depart for the Persian Gulf. It caused some crazy damage, including bent rails, anchor pulled up on an oil barge and out garage doors blown off. Real fun. Winds were around 180MPH.
